The Postgraduate Studies office located at the Research and Innovation Office primarily offers all-inclusive support throughout the postgraduate lifecycle. focuses on enhancing the university’s research profile by facilitating, coordinating, and implementing strategic research and postgraduate support policies ensuring compliance with the norms and standards of the Department of Health’s guidelines on Ethics in Research, meeting research targets set by the Department of Higher Education and Training, as well as the achievement of the university’s strategic goal of being a node for African thought.
This function is achieved by providing the following services:
The University is in partnership with the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union and other South African Universities that created content called Enhancing Postgraduate Environment (EPE). This is aimed at all aspects of the postgraduate journey, from before the scholar is admitted, to the practices and processes of the postgraduate experience, through to what happens after graduation. The aim of the project is to support institutional strategizing around postgraduate environments. Click here for more information.
